 Simply put, there are several things that should be considered in setting the prices for personalized dog tags. The foremost is the cost of the above " blank dog tag."  This one is authentic because it was manufactured in the U.S. to government specifications. It was made by the same company that has been providing blank dog tags to all our military installations for years.

 We take great pride in using the word  " Authentic "  on all of our military dog tag sites. At the present time, to our knowledge, ours and only one other company buys their blank tags from this same U.S. supplier to the United States Armed Forces.

 The bulk of the companies selling dog tags buy their blank tags from the "Asian Market" because they are CHEAPER. The tags are made of a much lower grade of stainless steel and some are not even stainless, just steel. POOR Imitations ! Imprint these tags with the old Addressograph Imprinting machines that press the characters into the tags with no spacing between the letters, and you have a "low end" - "low priced" - " low quality " dog tag . . . caveat emptor.
